The Douglas County Mail is a weekly award winning community newspaper based in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. The newspaper has been in existence since 1902 with only six owners in that time. The current owner is Myrtle Tree Press, Inc., an independent corporation based in Myrtle Creek.

The current Publisher is Robert L. Chaney, Sr.

The coverage area stretches from the southern border of Douglas County to Roseburg covering the cities and schools of Glendale, Azalea, Days Creek, Tiller, Riddle Canyonville and the greater Myrtle Creek area.

With a circulation of 2,000 and a readership of nearly triple that the Douglas County Mail provide valuable information and news to a large concentration of south Douglas County.

The Douglas County Mail is subscription based along with retail outlets throughout its coverage area.

The Douglas County Mail provides coverage of local sports for four school districts and five high schools, features of people places and events, community events, breaking news, spot news, governmental affairs, police and any other happenings that might fall under the banner of community news.
